The Capital City Concert Band was formed (under the baton of John Lillie) in 1988 to provide an opportunity for adult musicians within the community to play in an organized group, and rehearses each Tuesday in Rio Linda.  Since early 2014, the Band is under the musical direction of Ron Wainwright.

 

The Band performs a wide variety of music, including marches, jazz/dance band, popular tunes, and classical band literature.  As a community band, membership is based on a desire to enjoy making music in participation with like-minded musicians.

 

Our mission is to allow members to express their musical talents through performance and entertaining the public.
