The Amador County Concert Band is comprised of volunteer musicians from Amador and surrounding counties. The Band was formed on September 10, 2001, and is now conducted by Stephen Chambers, with associate conducters Irv Gidding and Chris Tootle. The Band meets year-round on Monday nights at the Amador High School band room in Sutter Creek. There are no auditions and no one is compensated for playing or conducting.

The Band plays a Spring, a Fall, and a Christmas concert each year in addition to supporting local community events and festivals. One performance of each concert is performed for seniors at the Amador Senior Center. All performances are without admission charge. The Band is supported by donations obtained during The March on the Kitty, played at each performance. The Band plays a wide variety of music, but enjoys Broadway medleys and classic marches the most.

The Band is affiliated with the Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association (SVSBA) and the Association of Concert Bands (ACB). For information about the band, visit
